A rich selection of jackets and coats offers plenty of ways to ward off the winter cold, with choices ranging from perfect, clean-cut city styles through trenches to voluminous hooded coats.

Hugo Boss have just released their Autumn/Winter 11 Black Collection under the headline “Luxury Voyage.” Unusual details and streamlined cuts give the new menswear range a distinctly masculine look.

Informal sportswear styles, parkas, quilted vests and super-soft lamb leather coats head the collection. Paired with bulky knit sweaters in Norwegian patterns, they round out the effortlessly elegant Boss Black look. Biker jackets in vintage leather and tweed cardigans with toggles supply a hint of retro style. Short, fitted shapes dominate.

The fabrics are soft and sumptuous, with wool and wool blends to the fore. The materials also include soft-brushed flannels, moleskin and techno mixes. The colour palette is muted, ranging from a medley of grey and beige nuances through brown to elegant black.
