In 1994 by two brothers, Andrew and Duncan McKenzie opened Aphrodite is an independent designer menswear store selling contemporary men’s designer fashion from famous brands such as Barbour, Lyle & Scott, True Religion and Evisu.
Aphrodite were kind enough to answer the following questions:
1. Why is Aphrodite 1994 the ultimate online destination for the latest menswear?
Because we have one of the broadest ranges of style and design. Covering all aspects of taste and wants, this coupled with the friendly service in store and online is hard to beat. We also don’t beat around the bush as soon as we have a delivery its up online so you can see. This is also closely followed by social media friendly work to get feedback on our offerings.
2. You sell a number of brands, which are the ones that stand-out?
The brands that stand out the most are Barbour (new season arriving soon), Y-3, Pretty Green, Nudie Jeans, Burberry and Luke 1977. Although all of our brands are picked by the buying team to provide a certain something that others may not be able to, thus giving an all round solid stock offering.

3. If you have to pick one essential item for your summer wardrobe, what would it be?
Summer Essential would have to be the Toms slip ons (Charity is important and these guys seem to get it right)
4. Are you looking forward to the arrival of the AW11 collections?
Very much so, the Barbour cross overs and Mcqueen gear is unreal. Other very interesting stock included the Adidas Colabs and Nudie offerings. Again we have a wide range of ideas and this autumn/winter looks good for us.
