We are excited to be able to show you a preview of the Spring/Summer 2012 collection by Stone Island. Drawing on broader visions and authoritative observers, while placing a new interpretation on concepts and thoughts. Extracting elements of architecture, geometry and functionality from ‘New Brutalism’, ‘Tesseletion’ and ‘Aircraft Carriers’ the new range consists of lightweight jackets and knits, t-shirts and shorts, as well as footwear and accessories.
Finally the is are based on three ideas, which support the themes of the collection. ‘Dark Summer’is that moment in the evening when the colours of the sea and the sky splinter into thousands of rich and deep shades. ‘New Brutalism’ is the concrete and plaster of the architectural movement inspired by Le Corbusier, and ‘Aircraft Carrier’ is the military shades and high visibility colours used by aircraft carrier operators.
